This is a big, beautiful, juicy and ripe Cabernet Franc. One of the richest and biggest wines we’ve made to date. Very fine tannins. While the wine is young it is still beautifully balanced and ready to drink now. Or it can be cellared for a very long time.
2022 was a magnificent vintage for Cabernet Franc with a spectacular October – long, dry and warm. 100% de-stemmed and aged in a combination French oak barrels: 30% new, 30% second fill, and the rest third fill or older. In barrel for 12 months and then racked clean. The good lees remaining from each barrel went back into tank for 6 months, allowing for more flavour and texture. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with low levels of SO2 (as always).
